5 Things on Papervison3D
A few weeks back, I had the awesome opportunity to present at FlashCamp Philly on the topic of Papervision3D and the process we used to create a piece for the Pennsylvania Film Office. The talk focused on the techniques we discovered to speed PV3D development and coordinate between myself in Adobe Flash and the designer, Jon Elison, in Adobe Photoshop.
A few days after, Joe Rinaldi of Aquent fame asked if I would do a recording of the presentation. So here it is, 5 Things on Papervision3D, in its full glory.
To all those visiting my site for the first time from the presentation, check out my RSS feed and be sure to follow me on Twitter.
IgnitePhilly 4 Video
Here’s the video from my presentation at IgnitePhilly 4 on October 13, 2009. Overall I think I came across pretty well. Some of my slides were hard to see, which I equate to Power Point’s unyielding quest to screw me. But people still laughed when expected, and there were even some nice audience interjections at certain points.
Big thanks to @radiocolin for the videos. I’m so happy my slides are overlaid in the video because half the jokes are tied to the visuals.
Please take a moment and check out some of the other presentations from IgnitePhilly 4. Shmitten Kitten, The Free Library, Snake-o-phobia, and Mike Worth with VGIPhilly all rocked it. Overall it was a pretty…
Speaking @IgnitePhilly
I’m happy to announce that I’ll be presenting at next week’s Ignite Philly. The event is composed of a handful of rapid-fire presentations, each only 5 minutes long with each slide limited to 15 seconds. The speakers I’m presenting with are a bit intimidating, especially with this as my first Ignite presentation. But we’re working on a really funny topic and a site to support it, so it should be a great time. I’m hoping to be a little bit of laughter in between so truly important causes.
More info on the event can be found at Ignite Philly’s website.
New to this series is the availability of 150 tickets. In the past, this event has “sold-out”, meaning…
30th Birthday Party
In just a few days I’ll be turning 30. There’s a ton of stuff going on right now, but I only turn 30 once, so Monica and I have set up a shindig at Dark Horse Tavern on South 2nd Street between Pine and South. Should be a good time with lots of friends. Party is on Saturday, June 27th, 2009 and kicks off at 9pm.
If you’re around, stop in and say hi. We’re asking that everyone RSVP so that we can tell the staff at Dark Horse what to expect.
